Interested in becoming more involved with Vagantes? Consider applying for a position on the Board of Directors! There are two open positions: Mentorship and Professionalization Coordinator and Scribe. All roles are two-year terms and are open to all prospective and past Vagantes participants currently enrolled in a graduate program. For more information on positions, see the Vagantes Constitution.

The Mentorship and Professionalization Coordinator is responsible for administering the mentorship program and the professionalization initiative in cooperation with the host institution, to take place at the upcoming Vagantes Conference.

The Scribe is responsible for recording the proceedings of all board meetings. The Scribe collaborates with the Webmaster to maintain an updated and accurate record of the conference and conference programs for the Vagantes Conference website. Along with the other board members, the scribe will help promote the conference among scholarly circles and develop potential relationships between Vagantes and other organizations and committees.
Note: Those who apply to host the 2027 Vagantes Conference will also have a chance to become Future Host Representatives (and then Current Host Representatives) on the Board. More information on applying to host Vagantes 2027 can be found here.
