The Vagantes Board of Directors is now soliciting applications for a Future Host Institution to host the 27th Vagantes Conference on Medieval Studies in 2028.
Vagantes is an interdisciplinary medieval studies conference entirely organized and run by graduate students. As a host institution, you will have a unique opportunity to showcase your institution’s medieval studies community, gain valuable professional development experience organizing the event, and meet and network with other graduate students. Host representatives from your institution will begin their tenure on the Board of Directors this fall, and you will receive mentoring and support from the board throughout the planning process. Since 2002, Vagantes has been hosted by twenty-two different universities in the US and Canada. Is your institution next?
Applications should be submitted via email to vagantesboard@gmail.com and will be reviewed by the Vagantes Board of Directors. Submissions are due Wednesday, 30 September 2026.
